end-of-life guidance
and grief support
for pet loss
Hello friends!
As elders, we are constantly bombarded with advertising messages and social cues that prompt us to be active, look younger, and stay healthy and vibrant. What cultural messaging neglects to tell us is how to navigate the social, emotional, spiritual and political journey through aging, illness and end-of-life.
My colleagues and I offer hands-on, compassionate assistance to help you address the concerns you may not feel comfortable discussing with friends, family or even your health care providers. We can literally walk beside you, meeting with your family to facilitate a difficult end-of-life discussion, helping you fill out an advance directive, or planning every detail (and even officiating) a memorial service.

Endorsements from Clients

"I have supported many friends as they've gone through the death of a spouse and had to deal with planning a memorial service in the middle of deep grief. With so many things to think about -- relatives coming to town, friends and neighbors dropping by, tedious paperwork, and the reality of the death itself -- who wants to plan an event in the middle of all that? I've recommended Terri's services to several people who found it to be a huge help. It's like having a wedding planner for a memorial service, only so much more."
Mary Weiler, Lake Oswego, OR.
"I'm a single man with no children. Although I'm only 66 and in good health, Terri showed me that having a will is not enough. What if I become incapacitated and someone needs access to my money to pay for my care before I die? Terri alerted me to the importance of having a trusted friend or family member as a signer on my bank accounts, and also showed me that it's never too soon to prepare an advanced directive. I did these things for my 95-year-old mother as she approached her last years. But we never know when our last days will be."
Gary Bachofner, Beaverton, OR.
"I took care of my dear friend and housemate while she was dying. We had a wonderful hospice, but Terri gave me something extra. She helped me think about things like how to manage the house alone, and how to ensure there would be funds to help me relocate. She also created a beautiful ceremony using stones from our garden for the celebration of life. Of the many people coming to visit -- family, friends, hospice staff -- Terri was the one grounding person for me. Her help was invaluable."
Tish Stoebner, Portland, OR.

"When my husband died I was too overwhelmed to think about a memorial. I did not know how to honor him publicly, and continued to push the question away. It was with the guidance of Terri Daniel, who talked to me about the value of rituals, that the memorial started to shape into something that was uniquely suited for our situation. Terri was so understanding, creative and encouraging. I will always be grateful to her for showing me how to honor my husband's life and death."
Pauline Zonneveld, West Linn, OR

Her presence brings comfort to the soul and a peace of mind that enables all involved to concentrate totally on sharing love."
